Training Still Moves Forward
at an Easy Pace
I stepped away from chasing the clock and ran 7.45 km at a comfortable effort: a jog that began with a walk and ended with one too.

- Distance
- 7.45km
- Time
- 1:03
- Pace
- 8'31"
- Month
- 74.07km
On recent jogs, I have not paid much attention to pace. I walk a few hundred meters before running, then cool down with another few hundred meters to one kilometer of easy walking. The priority is to finish without overreaching so I can return for the next session.
Every workout points toward my first marathon on November 8. The plan is to experience a long effort once each month: 20 km in August, 30 km in September, and 35 km in October, gradually teaching my body to keep moving for a long time.

Today I wore the Brooks Glycerin 22. In the next issue, I will briefly explain why I sold the Superblast 3 that I had bought with such high hopes.
