Recovery Took Three Weeks.
This Time, Three Days.
After a half marathon in March, an injury made recovery take three weeks. This time, I finished a 10.23 km jog three days after the race, keeping my heart rate below 130 and the jog truly easy.

After my half marathon in March, recovery took three weeks because I was injured. This time, three days were enough. After finishing the Ganghwa half on Sunday, I completed a 10.23 km jog in 1:19:00 on Wednesday night. Recovering this quickly feels good.
And a jog should truly be a jog. Today, I kept the effort comfortable and made sure my heart rate stayed below 130. Before future races, I plan to make easy runs at least 10 km, and longer when possible, so my body learns to treat that distance as comfortable. Running 10 km easily, without running fast, is still real training.

I ran today in the Saucony Endorphin Pro 5. If this is the shoe for my full marathon, I need to wear it more often on easy runs and become completely familiar with it. On top was a lululemon Pace Breaker piece I bought myself as a Chuseok gift. The marathon outfit is now complete; all that remains is practice and training. I bought the clothes, but I am holding off on another pair of shoes. The Saucony Endorphin Azura can wait. I already own plenty.
