I Missed the Mountain.
Tancheon Stayed Open.
The autumn sky made me consider the trails, but housework and other tasks took the window away. At 7 p.m., Tancheon was still open. October began with 13.61 km.

October's first morning looked thoroughly autumnal. The air was comfortable, and I spent a long time considering a run on the local mountain as trail preparation. Housework and other tasks lined up, however, and the window for the trails clocked out before I did. I finally headed to the familiar local riverside path at 7 p.m.
I ran one step quicker than my usual Zone 2 jog: 13.61 km in 1 hour 34 minutes 6 seconds, averaging 6:55 per kilometre. For now, I am considering a marathon pace somewhere between 6:00 and 6:30 per kilometre, though the number is not settled. This was October's first chance to see how the body responds before moving closer to that range.

The Han River is excellent for its convenience stores, scenery, and open atmosphere, but some stretches narrow enough that runners and walkers must share limited space. Seongnam's Tancheon keeps the cycling path separate and leaves plenty of room for walking and running. The stretch beside the airfield is particularly quiet and comfortable for longer sessions. On a future long run, I want to explore farther south. Come here for a jog; I am a Seongnam runner training hard on Tancheon.
